Pre-Surrender History
Ferdinand was abandoned with his cagemate, Sullivan in a shopping center in Fuquay. An employee at a nearby office found them and called ACR&S to come and pick them up.
Medical History
2008
July 22 - Ferdinand saw Dr. Munn approximately an hour after intake because of his severe dehydration issues. When I first saw them, he as limp and non-responsive, and drooling clear liquid out of his mouth.
Upon arrival at the vet, he retched and heaved several times, his breath smelling literally like something inside of him was rotting. Dr. Munn recommended slow stabilization and sent us home.
Two hours later, after some lukewarm Pedialyte and a tiny bit of Critical Care, Ferdinand began seizing and convulsing. We left immediately to go to the Vick Road e-vet, but he passed before we were even a mile away from the house.
Partner
Ferdinand presumably lived his entire life with his cagemate, Sullivan.
Foster History
Ferdinand fostered with Jenn in Morrisville.
Adoption History
None.
Death
Ferdinand died on July 22, 2008, en route to the emergency vet. His presumed cause of death was heat stroke and dehydration due to abandonment. He was with ACR&S for 3 hours.
